How I Can Help

“We can let go of what we understand; we cling most ferociously to aspects of ourselves that remain hidden to us and whose power we do not comprehend”

- Gabor Mate, Scattered minds

How I feel I can help is by offering you a supportive & compassionate environment for you to develop & grow as a human being. I am interested in working in relationship with you as a whole person, to include all of your history, relationships, and the wider context shaping who you are and your journey leading here. I work to help you develop awareness, self-compassion, proportional responsibility, and connection.

I will work to help you better understand yourself, and feel more able to work with yourself, taking positive action in the face of adversity. I seek to empower you to feel more in control of your life, develop your inner resources, and build greater skill in communicating your emotions & feelings.

Of course, how we will work will depend on your desired outcome or goal, as well as the things you wish to bring to counselling. If you wish to discuss specifically how I might be able to help you, please get in touch.

I work with a wide range of presenting issues, however the core of my experience has come from working with Trauma. There is a list of presenting issues I work with on this page, however, my work takes a holistic approach and the list is not necessarily specialisms of mine, but presenting symptoms I feel I can support you with. Should I feel my expertise isn’t well suited for you, or that a particular specialist would be of benefit, I will openly discuss this with you.
